For all things that truly matter . . . to the five of us.

Your Mom’s Back January 21, 2009

After much clamoring for the return of IAYM, we are trying to resurrect Your Mom.  So you can again keep up with all the cultural zeitgeist in one place . . . or at least the zeitgeist as we see it.  There may be some new contributors, as some FOYM (Friends of Your Mom) have recently gotten sh*&canned and have some time on their hands.  But, remember, this a two-way street: we need your comments to let us know that y’all are keeping up with us.

Much Love,

Your Mom

I was slightly obsessed with the Swedish Chef on the Muppet Show when I was a kid.  This video just puts a smile on my face:

Apparently, Tom and Gisele are SO cool and SO coveted that even Miss Anna Wintour has arranged for the couple to be seated at her table at this week’s tonight’s Met Costume Institute Gala.

G & T

Well, obviously, we never need an excuse to post a picture of Tom, but I’ve been looking for a reason to talk about Vogue… make the LOLVogue from Jezebel.com. If you think LOLCats is funny — just imagine the same shtick, but with emaciated models in crazy frocks. Here’s an example:

That Wasn’t her Nickname at School

Page Six has a great (TMI?) item about fellow BC-class-of-’99er Elisabeth Hasselbeck discussing her “bubble butt” in the new issue of Fitness magazine.

Here’s the quote:

“I came to grips with my bum. Before, I always tied a shirt around my waist when I went for a run. It was ridiculous. I finally told myself, ‘I’m not doing this anymore – I have nothing to hide.’ I’ve got some curves, I’ve got a bubble butt, but I don’t mind, because it’s what powers me forward when I run.”

Oh crap, did we just give away Your Mom’s age??

Charleston Explains it All

Again, IAYM has to apologize for the unannounced mini-break.  I’m going to blame it on Charleston, where I’ve been the last couple of days.  Look I have proof:

The Red Brick Road

So, that’s that.  Back on our (my) game this week.
